Nuclear Power
Nuclear power is dangerous and I think there are much better ways of getting energy. If there were an accident in a nuclear power plant it would kill lots of people and leave survivors with long term health problems. There are more efficient and safer ways of getting energy and those should be used.

Maggie, there is probably a 1 in 10 chance of a nuclear power accident in America. Most nuclear power accidents have been in places like communist Russia and rural places with bad government. I think America should work hard to find better ways to make less of a chance of a nuclear power accident and after we find that way, convert to nuclear energy.
Sorry, just my opinion.

HI people!
Thanks for teling me what you think!
If there were an accident it would be really bad, but like you said, there's not much chance of an accident. Still, nuclear isn't a great energy source.

Maggie, I agree with you. I saw a show about all the orphanages in Ukraine near the Chernobyl accident, where kids are still being born with terrible birth defects, and lots of lots of people of all ages get lymphoma, WAYYY more than anywhere else in the world. While the chances of an accident in the US may be small, the consequences would be horrific. In addition, nuclear accidents elsewhere in the world have the potential to harm Americans. There are many safer, cleaner energy options that should be developed to a greater extent. Also, great job on your blog! - Jenny

Yeah, but read what my aunt said.

Lucas, could you please just stop questioning me. It's good we don't agree about everything!
